Stone Paris
Marie Poniatowski, who has been designing Stone since 2004, sums up its aesthetic as “vintage-inspired, feminine and rock,” all words that derive from her enchanted upbringing. Born into Polish nobility that dates back to the 15th-century, Marie was raised in Paris. Her father was the director of Vogue Paris and took her to photoshoots with Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton, among others, as well as fashion shows in New York and Milan. Her mother, a decorator, gave her a taste for beautiful things and for creation. Other iconic figures who forever influence her vision of elegance and femininity are Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, and especially Grace Kelly, a family friend. Stone Paris, while notably Victorian in style, is modern, light, and poetic. Dress is one of only three retailers in the US to stock Stone Paris.
