Spring 2018 Look Book: A collaboration with Nina Farmer and Jaimie Baird
We first met Nina Farmer in 2005 when we were opening Dress on Newbury Street. At the time she had just moved from New York City and was working as an interior designer with Boston-based C&J Katz. Some 12 years later, Nina has her own company Nina Farmer Interiors. Many of the jaw-dropping interiors she has designed over the years have been featured in notable publications, including: House Beautiful, Boston Home, and New England Home (where she was named one of the 5 under 40). We were thrilled to collaborate with Nina once again in 2012 on the design of our Charles Street store. We love her sophisticated yet approachable style that is signature Nina Farmer.
Beyond being uber talented, Nina is fun, stylish and someone whom we admire. We couldn’t think of a better person to model our Spring 2018 collection. The backdrop for the shoot is a stunning home in Brookline, MA that Nina designed over the span of 2 years -- a gut renovation that had us gushing room after room over everything from the paint colors to the rugs to the accessories on the tabletops.
Photographer Jaimie Baird shot our Spring 2018 lookbook. A former Bostonian, Jaimie now lives in New York City with her family. With a background in portrait photography, she now focuses on fitness photography (she co-authored a beautiful book called Yoga Bodies), as well as interiors and lifestyle. She photographs using natural light, which we think was a perfect match for highlighting the beautiful colors and textures of our Spring 2018 collection.
